Rajasthan is literally burning these days n what’s disturbing n shocking about the news is that the entire episode of the encounter of a hardened criminal namely Anand Pal Singh at Churu Malasar who carried on his head a whopping reward of Rs 5 lacs for being caught live or dead has been given political n caste colour. It has now become a war of the entire Rajput community with the BJP ruled government of the state n the possible targets of the Rajput Sabha are the state’s Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje n Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria .
Rajputs are in large numbers in the state n contribute majorly in upsetting the political cart in the state. They contribute to ten percent vote share during state’s elections. Properties worth hundreds of crores have already been destroyed n burned by the protesters demanding CBI enquiry into the entire episode of the hardened gangster’s arbitrary killing without provocation whereas the Home Minister of Rajasthan Gulab Chandra Kataria dispels the charges of Rajput Sabha as frivolous n biased by emphatically rejecting the reccomendation for the CBI inquiry on the pretext that all the 16 norms laid down by the Apex court of the country were followed before killing gangster Anand Pal in an encounter in Rajasthan’s Churu Malasar by the police who was the big headache to the peace loving people of the area. But on the contrary the aggrieved family members of the deceased say that Anand Pal was murdered in the cold blood. Home Minister Kataria has while out rightly opposing the Central inquiry said that he can’t demoralise his own officers who’d risked their lives to permanently get rid of this hardened criminal carrying Rs 5 lakh reward over his head. He however welcomed the decision of any court for such enquiry but has refused to surrender over the pressure of the Rajput protestors. If such criminals would be branded as their saviour the day would come when law of the land would be crushed under their feet n there would literally be no dispensation of justice for the poor, hapless, aggrieved n the down troddens n the writ of criminals wud dominate over the system added Kataria. Meanwhile, several Lacs’ Rajputs of Rajasthan have pledged to March to Jaipur city demanding institution of the CBI enquiry into the whole episode n punishment of the guilty officers. Sounds shocking n ridiculous as well, that hardened criminals like Anand Pal Singh who’d been looting n killing people for the last several years is being made the hero by a particular community n the criminal’s protagonists’ n destroying states’ properties n economy for the last several days. And what is more shocking is the fact that the Vasundhara Raje Scindia government under the influence of vote bank politics is till date not able to set right the situation despite having so much of police force n sitting at the political n administrative helm of the state. It may be recalled that the family of Anand pal Singh has been demanding institution of a CBI enquiry into the killing of the gangster accusing the police of arbitrary killing in a pre strategic encounter instead of catching him physically where as the Home minister of Rajasthan Gulab Chand Kataria while outrightly dispelling these charges says that hardened criminal Anand Pal was asked to surrender several times but he n his gang continued firing over the police force which finally was compelled to retaliate with counter firing in which this gandster was killed. The state police has conducted the post mortom of the dead n handed it over to the family members of the deceased who were earlier unwilling to take the corpse n conduct the last rights till the CBI enquiry is not ordered into this fishy encounter episode. Now the body of AnandPal Singh has been consigned to flames yesterday.
