Today while we are feeling highly elated at the already sworn in,the 14th President of Indian Republic HE Ram Nath Kovind a true son of the soil hailing from the lowest ebb of the society n reaching the topmost position by virtue of his hard work, dedication n perseverence, we are equally sad to relieve the 13th most distinguished head of the state having served the nation in various outsanding capacities as professor, advocate, Member of Parliament, Union minister n finally as the First citizen of the largest democracy of the world. A one time trouble shooter of late Indian Prime ministers’ Indira Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi. Dr Manmohan Singh n the Congress Party Pranbda as he was fondly pronounced has lived his life as a revered politiciann n an academician to the fullest n always maintained the highest decorum n dignity of the various positions held by him till date during his chequered political career of the last fifty years travelling from Bengal to Rashtrapati Bhawan confronting infinite challanges n upheavals of dirty politics but always coming out immaculately clean n triumphant. Though primarily hailing from Congress party n an arch political rival of BJP ideologically, Pranab da’s relations with prime minister Narendra Modi were not only extremely smooth n soothing but the latter respected the former so much that Narendra Modi publicly announced that he saw in Pranab Da a fatherly figure who inspired him a lot in his political journey. Such unique n outstanding comments of affection n reverence from an ideologically opposite Prime minister to a president unambiguously exhibit how smooth n pleasent were the relationship between Pranab da n the NDA government during the tenure of our 13th president of India. Though its also a hard fact that in matters pertaining to imposition of President’s rule in Uttarakhand n Manipur/ Arunachal Pradesh (either of these states) Pranab Da do came into controversy in one of the judgements’ of Uttarakhand high court then, when his decision was criticized by the honourable judge saying that no office of the land is above the Indian constitution n proclaimation of President rule without sufficient constitutional grounds is unacceptable, however big or important the officeor incumbent is. Overall the tenure of Pranab Da as the most reverred president maintaining the tenets of constitution, tolerance, secularism n mutual trustful relations with the ruling n opposition parties will always be remembered in the annals of history. Pranab Da’s smooth functioning n always calling for the maintainence of the communal fabric of the country with diverse cultures, religions n sects n his vast knowledge of things has added significant dimensions to the high office of president of India.
