Height 5’3” with long beard, cap and betel leaf in his mouth and laughters with echoistic impression. These are the features of a person who, though, is an erstwhile geoscientist of ONGC but his healing technique has got no match at all. When he sits in meditation, high level of energy is created around him so much so that his meditation room shakes as in earthquake. Consequently, the things kept in the room start shaking and sometimes the electric bulbs burst out. The name of this dashing personality is Dr. Bidyut Kumar Mukherjee.

Mukherjee Sir is Bengali but his family has settled in Dehradun. He is so much expert in cosmos healing that in any part of the world, he can find out the physical ailments of any person by name itself and he or she can be cured telepathically. Reminding about an incident with Mr. Dinesh Kandwal, Editor of Dehradoon Discover, experienced with the telepathic healer- Dr. Mukherjee in ONGC, Agartala, shared that once Dr. Mukherjee requested him to click a photograph but he refused due to no reel left in the camera. On this, Dr. Mukherjee got annoyed and told him that his camera lens would be cracked and the camera would be no use.

In a startling mood, Mr. Kandwal went on telling that he knew well about Dr. Mukherjee’s meditational power but was not acquainted with the possession of such extreme powers. Next day, Mr. Kandwal went to the residence of Dr. Mukherjee with the roll. That time, Mr. Mukherjee was sitting in meditation. Mr. Kandwal finished his camera roll clicking on Dr. Mukherjee at different angles. On this, Dr. Mukherjee smiled and challenged “not a single snap will appear. Go and get the roll washed. If any snap comes then I will change my name.” Not only had gone by this incident, when Dr. Mukherjee ordered- “Kandwal, just wait for a while and I will show you the power of yoga and meditation.” I just sat for a while when I witnessed a bulb cracking. Slowly, all the bulbs in the room started cracking sequentially. I could also hear a sound coming out of camera that was hanging from my neck and then I saw my camera lens also cracked.

We were discussing this incident when Dr. Mukherjee and his daughter entered the room as scheduled. At first sight, we could not figure out that we were meeting such a great personality but we were astonished when we were enlightened with the depth of knowledge that he shared.

As per discussion with Dr. Mukherjee, we came to know that during his service in ONGC, he was blessed with divine powers which he could feel. He can meditate for hours concentrating on OM and scan any persons’ body by just the name of the person and can pinpoint the problematic part of the body, irrespective of the geographical distance. He considers the possessed powers as gifted by The Supreme. He claims that he can solve any materialistic problem through telepathy as well as problems related to negative energy. He can also rectify the haunted houses and roads sitting at distant location. So far, thousands of people got benefited from his healing technique. He has conducted geological field surveys in Tamil Nadu (Salem area), Himalayan foothills (HP and J&K) and Cachar area of Assam. His reports are much referred by the geoscientists. During his tenure in ONGC, he was posted in Bengal, Tripura, Assam, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and also Uttarakhand. He has published more than 40 research papers both in national and international journals. He is the past editor/associate editor of scientific journals. He was the chief editor of Hindi magazine “Godavari”.
Nowadays, he is involved in the publication of herbal book “Wealth of Medicinal Plant Resources and Conservation”, both in English and Hindi. He has established a herbal garden in ONGC. Through his NGO “Cosmos Vigour” which he had established 6 years back, he has conducted social services in Dehradun, Bangalore, Rajahmundry (A.P.) and Northeastern states.
