This picture became viral on the social media, the reason being that several former n current ministers n MPs are caught watching Rekha as her die hard fans with lusty eyes. The picture clearly shows how the former BCCI President n former minister Rajiv Shukla, several member of parliaments n a minister in traditional Rajasthani attire are keenly watching Rekha walking in Parliament corridor, hardly paying any attention to the MPs n ministers. This keen interest of these Rekha fan MPs n ministers unambiguously, speaks of the fact that 65 year old Rekha is still a keen celebrity, a glamour girl n a women of admiration for them. On the day of the Vice President’s election, the God of Indian cricket Sachin Tendulkar n one time glamour girl of Indian celluloid now 65, Rekha were the chief attraction in Parliament, especially in the upper house. It may be recalled that after their nomination to the upper house Tendulkar n Rekha attended the house for merely 5 n 7% days n have never spoken or raised any issue of significance to the utter surprise n dismay of every member. This is undesirable indeed n this definitely gives a chance for a debate whether such celebrities should be nominated in the upper house or not in the future who literary play no role in parliamentary debates n proceedings thus leading to loss to public exchequer n demeaning the parliamentary procedures n prestige as well. Though role model outside, such celebrities are of least signifcance in the upper house, not more than mere spectators.
