Ahmed patel victory lead to Shah's political demoralisation (Kikiri)..

  1. Ahmed Patel’s victory leads to Shah’s POLITICAL DEMORALISATION (KIRKIRI)               (Sunil Negi President Uttarakhand Media Forum)
The interesting Gujarat Rajya Sabha elections for three seats has turned the tables down on the ruling BJP as of now, as the high profile political Secretary to the 135 years’ old Congress Party Chief Sonia Gandhi, Ahmed Patel has finally been succesful despite all odds n extreme efforts of the entire government ruling at the centre n the chief of the party leading the NDA government.
  2. Sounds interesting that its for the first time perhaps that the victory of Ahmed Patel as the 5th/ 6th time Rajya Sabha MP becomes the lead front page banner news of almost all the leading newspapers of the country to name one, Hindustan Times. The elections to the upper house of Indian Parliament have been taking place since the last seven decades after India seeking independence but never before had it become such a prestigious issue for any ruling party to ensure that a single candidate of opposition like Ahmed Patel loses it come what may. It seems unusual n shocking that the ruling party like BJP n its chief makes it a prestige issue n engineers defection amongst the Congress MLAs of the state amid counter charges of each MLA allegedly being intimidated n purchased for Rs 15 crores n subsequently the fearful n highly apprehensive n dejected Congress party air lifts its 44 MLAs to Bengaluru to be met with further alleged intimidation in the form of raids at various locations of the minister of Karnataka in whose resorts these MLAs were rescued. No doubt the BJP n its chief who is supposed to be an ach rival of Congress chief’s political secretary has played his every manipulative game but finally at the intervention of the Election commission Ahmed Patel’s victory has not only badly demoralised the ruling party establishment at the centre n the state of Gujarat but has also led people of the country to believe that the BJP once counted n measured as a party of discipline, decorum n morality is today no less a party believing in going to any damn extent to achieve power, position n political victory. The case in point relating to Uttarakhand, UP n Gujarat are enough to prove the ill conceived notions n designs of the ruling party which has obliged every Congress, BSP n SP defectors with ministerial berths n engineered defection in Arunachal, Goa, Manipur( earlier) n now in Gujarat Rajya Sabha election. There is no doubt that BJP Chief Amit Shah n Union Minister Smriti Irani has won from Gujarat( greetings t them) but Ahmed Patel’s victory despite engineering defections from the rival Congress party finally having been downgraded by the election commission has undoubtedly put its image at the lowest ebb, sending negative signals across the nation. It may be recalled that the Congress had 51 legislators in Gujarat assembly out of which three defected to Congress n one out of them Balwant Singh Rajput was made the third BJP Rajya Sabha candidate to counter Ahmed Patel. Prior to these three defected Congress law makers Shanker Singh Vaghela also had left Congress n clandestinely assured BJP of his n about 11 Congress Lawmakers’ support. Meanwhile 44 legislators were lifted to Bengaluru by Congress leadership but 7 refuse to go with them. Ahmed Patel finally gets only 43 votes but with the support of one JDU legislator, a Sharad Yadav protegé, Ahmed Patel finally wins while the election commission on Congress’s intervention n demand declares two NCP legislators’ votes as illegal n unconstitutional as they had defied the party whip n voted for BJP, arbitrarily. Meanwhile JDU leader Sharad Yadav is in quandary. May be expelled from the party for going in favour of Ahmed Patel by instructing the JDU Gujarat MLA to vote for Patel than for BJP. Nitish is too furious where as Sharad Yadav is deadly against Nitish going into communal BJP’s lap, defying the secularist values of JDU. However, despite all this the BJP has not conceded defeat n is all set to approach the courts to challenge the election commission’s decision declaring the 2 NCP lawmakers vote in favor of the BJP RS candidate as null n void. What do u say friends?
