Ashwani Lohani has been appointed as the new chairman of the Railway Board. He has replaced the outgoing chairman Mr. Mittal who has to go due to two derailments taking several lives. Lohani is currently the chairman n managing director of Air India, a corporation in losses turned into profits by the dint of his hard work, intelligence n perseverance. He will represent Air India as well as the Railway Board for the present till he is finally relieved of his current responsibility as CMD AI. Ashwani Lohani has been a dashing n dynamic officer through out his carrier while he was the CMD of ITDC, Chairman Air India or while on his other challenging assignments. He has always proved to be an upright officer with precision n result oriented innovative actions. In which ever department he had been at the helm, primarily hailing from Uttarakhand Lohani has always been innovative n reform oriented.

He is a vivacious reader n a prolific writer as well having been contributing his valuable articles on significant subjects in various newspapers of the country n guiding the policy makers. When Indian Railways is witnessing an unabated spree in accidents Lohani’s taking up the charge as chairman Railway Board would experience upside down changes for the betterment of the Railways say the news analysts.
